Lenses for Color Blindness
Introducing color management lenses. These lenses are powered by a innovative light filter system. They have been designed to aid in better color perception to help overcome the limitations due to partial red-green color deficiency.
These special lenses are available in single vision or progressive prescription eyeglasses and also without a prescription. We encourage you to visit our optical boutique to speak to our Optician, Mark Appleby and to try on our sample Color Management Lenses at no charge or obligation. If you have prescription eyeglasses, bring in your clear pair(not sunglasses) and your newest prescription from a optometry clinic to see if these lenses are for you.

Color blindness is a vision condition in which a person is unable to distinguish certain colors or perceive them in the same way as someone with normal color vision. It is usually an inherited genetic condition, although it can also be acquired due to certain medical conditions or exposure to certain chemicals.
The most common type of color blindness is red-green color blindness, which affects the ability to distinguish between shades of red and green. There are two types of red-green color blindness: protanopia and deuteranopia. Protanopia is when the cells in the retina that are sensitive to red light are either absent or not functioning properly, while deuteranopia is when the cells that are sensitive to green light are affected.
Another type of color blindness is blue-yellow color blindness, also known as tritanopia. This type of color blindness is much rarer than red-green color blindness and affects the ability to distinguish between shades of blue and yellow.
People with color blindness may have difficulty in everyday situations where color is important, such as reading traffic lights or identifying color-coded wiring. It can also affect their ability to perform certain jobs, such as electricians or pilots, where color identification is important.
I broke my glasses’ lens a few days ago and I was scrambling to find a place that could fix it. I then came across Matador Eyeworks. The price was very reasonable and they fixed it in less than 1 hour. This will now be my go to place for glasses. Thank you Matador Eyeworks!
