Matador Eyeworks is on TV!

Part of the tv show Political Blind Date on TVOntario was filmed at our optical boutique. This particular episode was about taxes. Wayne Easter is on a “political blind date” with Lisa Raitt. Wayne is a Liberal MP and chairman of the finance committee. Lisa Raitt is the Conservative MP for Milton and deputy party leader.
The picture is the actual selfie mentioned on the show. From left to right is Wayne, Zeena, Lisa and Mark. We got Lisa and Wayne to give the Mayor Krantz thumbs up for the selfie. Lots of fun.
You can watch the actual episode on the TVO website. Click here for the link to the episode.

October is girls inc. Halton Month at Matador Eyeworks!
Matador Eyeworks will be donating a portion of our sales for October. We are also selling tickets for incredible raffle prizes with all proceeds going directly to girls inc. Halton!
Save the date: Thursday Oct. 25th/2018 from 5-7:30 pm girls inc. Social! Come by and meet the girls inc. staff, network and learn about this great charity. There will be hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

girls inc. was founded in 1864 to serve girls and young women who were experiencing upheaval in the aftermath of the Civil War. Across the decades, girls inc. adapted to meet the specific environmental challenges facing girls and young women, always working in partnership with schools and communities, and guided by our founders’ fundamental belief in the inherent potential of each girl. Woven into those early girls’ clubs are the same core values of girls inc. today: the importance of creating a safe gathering place for girls to learn and to share in a sisterhood and a strong premise that each girl can develop her own capacities, self- confidence, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent. Our daughter loved the programs offered in school and couldn’t wait every week to attend. We could see the enthusiasm and confidence she gained in just a few weeks of attending. That’s why we are happy to give back to this great cause, so that many other girls can continue to benefit from the many programs that girls inc. has t offer today. Please drop by anytime during business hours to purchase tickets. We look forward to your support for this great initiative and thank you in advance for your generosity.

We are so pumped Colourblind Productions has chosen to film inside our optical boutique! They are making a promotional video for a exciting new condo development coming soon to Milton!
